Quotas and service limits

Memory budget, CPU, processes and number of services per project, and how to change service limits in the UI.

Each project gets the resource limits of its server:

• memory budget — limits of all services together may not exceed the project budget; services without their own limit share the rest equally (at least 64 MB each);
• CPU — a service may not use more CPUs than the server allows;
• processes — every service gets a process limit (pids_limit);
• number of services — limited per project; replicas (deploy.replicas, scale above 1) are not allowed;
• swap is off for containers, logs are rotated automatically.

Set mem_limit (or deploy.resources.limits.memory) for heavy services such as Java. You can also change memory and CPU of each service in the UI: open the project → Service limits. The number of projects you can deploy is limited per account.
