Deploy demo-monolith in one click

Spring Boot + Angular in one service and PostgreSQL: deploy the demo, look inside its compose file and open it on a domain.

demo-monolith is a Spring Boot application with an Angular UI inside the same JAR and a PostgreSQL database. It is the quickest way to see a full deployment on Jambotron.

Deploy in one click

  1. Open Projects. While you have no projects, the page offers the demos.
  2. Press Deploy demo on the demo-monolith card.
  3. Jambotron creates the project, uploads the sources, chooses docker-compose.yml and starts the deployment. The Deployments page opens with live logs.
  4. The first build takes a few minutes: Gradle builds the JAR inside Docker.

What is inside

services:
  demo-monolith-postgres:   # PostgreSQL 16, data in a named volume
    image: postgres:16-alpine
    healthcheck: ...        # pg_isready
  app: # Spring Boot + Angular, port 8080
    build: .
    depends_on:
      demo-monolith-postgres:
        condition: service_healthy
  • app waits until the database accepts connections (service_healthy), otherwise Flyway fails at start;
  • the database address is the service name: jdbc:postgresql://demo-monolith-postgres:5432/...;
  • ports: in the file are ignored on the server — the app is opened through a domain.

Open the app

  1. Open the project → Domains → Add domain.
  2. Choose the app service, enter a subdomain and container port 8080.
  3. The address works over HTTPS right away; the certificate is issued automatically.

The demo already trusts the proxy headers (server.forward-headers-strategy: framework) — see the guide on domains and proxies for your own apps.

Do the same with your project

Pack your project with docker-compose.yml into a ZIP, press Create project, upload the archive, choose the compose file and press Deploy. Check the guides on compose rules and quotas first.
